I first started to take an interest in photography when my dad gave me an old camera that he had, had for about twenty years.
It had a fixed lens and was equipped with a light meter, which he told me, made it very sophisticated.
I would load in a film and take photos of just about anything that
I thought would make an image that others would love to look at.
It was hard working with that old camera. I had only limited resources, so in the days of film, one had to concentrate on getting all the different elements of a good image right the first time.
Composition, exposure, focus and creativity had to all come together in that moment, when the shutter release was pressed.
I would always wait in anticipation for the developed film and judge the result of my endeavours.
A good grounding in an art form which I am still passionate about, and find as enjoyable and fascinating as I did when I was Ten.
My interest in Photography has continued over the last
Thirty eight years.
I am still attempting to make that stunning shot, the one which will give the viewer that wow factor.
